We are a team of 100+ testers from all corners of Canada who live and breathe testing. Founded in 1997 by tech entrepreneur Keith McIntosh, PQA Testing has been Canada’s software testing specialist for more than 20 years. We are committed to providing top quality testing services to customers here at home and abroad.
We also care about the communities we call home, and we are working to make them even better. PQA works alongside our sister company, PLATO Testing, to increase Indigenous participation in the technology sector by training and employing members of First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities as software testers.
We truly believe that better software leads to a better world, and we are proud to be helping our clients develop and launch the software that is making that a reality.
HOW WE GOT HERE
CEO Keith McIntosh creates PQA Testing to meet the growing need for software testing expertise and create jobs in New Brunswick.
PQA Testing has grown to 12 employees and begins working with the Government of New Brunswick.
Uncertainty around how software will evolve as we mark the new year opens testing opportunities for PQA.
PQA has the opportunity to test for technology leader Apple as they launched new software and hardware.
The rise in e-learning opens a new vertical for PQA – some of our clients from that time continue to be with us today!
PQA buys rallyQA in Vancouver, B.C., and begins to expand to Canada’s west coast.
On our 15th anniversary, PQA opens our second west coast location in Calgary, Alberta.
PQA Founder Keith McIntosh creates PLATO Testing, the first-ever Indigenous-led and staffed software testing company in the world.
Today, PQA and PLATO combined have more than 170 employees who are delivering for clients across the country and around the world.
